Dr jade lee
Founder and Director
Jade is a qualified primary teacher and consultant who was awarded a PhD in African Languages and Cultures from the School of Oriental and African Studies in June 2020.
She founded Aurora after witnessing firsthand the need to support early career academics who want to work with and for marginalised and vulnerable communities.
She coordinates training, communications and the structure and maintenance of international placements.

Training Consultant
In 2018, Jacob co-founded the Greek based NGO Action for Education that supports refugees and asylum seekers in Athens and the Aegean islands. He is currently based on the island of Chios, where he is coordinating the construction of a centre for unaccompanied minors.
As part of the Aurora team, he assists in writing and delivering training programmes.

Training Consultant
Naomi is a psychological anthropologist, prize winning author and lecturer with the highly ranked Anthropology department at the School of Oriental and African Studies.
At Aurora, she advises on training content, delivery and the structure of international placements.
